A quick step-by-step for our Medigap clients.

INTRODUCTION
Now that your Medigap plan is in place, the last piece is prescription drug coverage. Medigap doesn't include drugs, so you'll add a stand-alone Part D plan. It takes about 15 minutes online.
What You'll Need To Enroll Online
Your Medicare card (number + Part A/B start dates)
A list of your prescriptions with dosages
The pharmacies you use
Payment information (if applicable)
Step 1: Go to Medicare.gov
Open your web browser and go to medicare.gov/plan-compare.
You'll see two ways to get started: (1) log in with your Medicare account, or (2) under "Continue without logging in" and enter your ZIP code.
When the page asks "What type of plan are you looking for?" select Medicare Drug Plan (Part D). Then click Find Plans.
Step 2: Add Your Prescriptions
Type in each medication with the correct dosage and refill frequency. Click Done Adding Drugs when finished.
Step 3: Pick Your Pharmacies
The next screen asks where you fill your prescriptions. You can search by pharmacy name or by ZIP code. Pick the pharmacies you actually use, plus one or two backups (a national chain is a good backup choice). Pay attention to the "preferred pharmacy" label that appears next to some pharmacies. Mail-order is also an option.
Step 4: Compare Plans
The default sort is "Lowest Drug + Premium Cost." Leave it on that setting. It adds the plan's annual premium to your estimated drug costs and ranks plans by the true bottom line.
The plan at the top is usually the best deal for your specific list of medications — even if it doesn't have the lowest monthly premium.
Step 5: Enroll
Click Enroll next to your chosen plan, fill in your Medicare number and effective dates, and submit. Save your confirmation number. Your member ID card will arrive in 7–14 days.
